Vision-1 Named as 2011 Prometheus Award Finalist for Best User of Technology
The Technology Association of Iowa and LWBJ Financial Announce 2011 Prometheus Award Finalists. DES MOINES, Iowa – (February 21, 2011) The Technology Association of Iowa (TAI) and LWBJ Financial are proud to announce the finalists for the sixth annual Prometheus Awards. The Prometheus Awards is the technology industry's premier celebration of extraordinary achievements among high-tech businesses and individuals.
“Since the Prometheus Awards began six years ago, more and more leaders across the state and country have taken notice,” said TAI president Leann Jacobson. “This year's group of technology industry stand-outs represents a broad spectrum of business and innovation initiatives that set Iowa apart as a technology state and a big player on an international level.”
The Prometheus event, on April 7, is considered to be the largest technology event in Iowa and the industry’s most prestigious award. “In addition to receiving a record number of nominations submitted (83), this year's awards were even more competitive than ever,” said Jacobson.
This year’s winners will be announced at an evening ceremony at the Meadows Convention Center in Altoona. Hundreds of industry leaders from business, education, and government are expected to be in attendance.
The ceremony is co-sponsored by LWBJ Financial. Other sponsors are Merit Resources, the Entrepreneurial Development Center and Applied Art and Technology.
